Strava Overlay & Stats Generator for Instagram Stories

Turn any run into an Instagram story: a transparent overlay with your route and stats, a 3D route map or a weekly, monthly or yearly stats card. From Strava or a GPX file.

How to add a Strava overlay to your Instagram story

  1. 1

Connect Strava or upload a GPX

Sign in with Google, then connect your Strava account in one click or upload the GPX file of your run from Garmin, Coros, Suunto or any app.

  2. 2

Pick a run or a period

Choose an activity for its route and stats, or a week, month or year for your stats card.

  3. 3

    Choose the style

Transparent, dark, 3D route or minimal; story or post size; kilometers or miles, the color and the stats you want.

  4. 4

    Download and share

Download the PNG and add it to your Instagram story over a photo, or share it straight from your phone.

Strava stats generator: weekly, monthly and yearly cards

Sum up your training in one card: total distance, elevation, time on your feet, number of runs and your longest run, with a bar chart by day or month. Pick running only or every sport, and go back to any past week, month or year.

Overlay styles: transparent, 3D route, neon and aesthetic

Eight styles: transparent and card put your route and stats over a photo; dark, gradient, neon, poster and minimal are aesthetic cards ready to post; the 3D route raises your track by its real altitude, so climbs stand out. Pick any accent and text color, the font and the route thickness, or add your own photo as the background and download it all in one image.

Strava overlay app vs Instagram's Strava sticker

Sharing from Strava gives you a fixed sticker. Here you choose what to show, the style and the size, add your elevation profile or a 3D route, and make stats cards for a whole week, month or year: things Strava's share options don't do.

Strava overlay: FAQ

What do I need to use the Strava overlay generator?

Just your Google account: sign in, connect Strava or upload a GPX file and download your images.

How do I make a transparent Strava overlay?

Choose the Transparent style and download the PNG: only your route and stats are drawn, so it sits on top of your photo in an Instagram story.

How do I share my Strava run to an Instagram story?

Download the image (or tap Share on your phone), open Instagram, create a story with your photo and add the image from your gallery on top.

Does it work without Strava, with Garmin or Coros?

Yes. Export the GPX file of your activity from Garmin Connect, Coros, Suunto or any app and upload it. The stats cards need Strava, as they sum up many activities.

What happens to my Strava data?

Your activities are read only to draw your images. Nothing is stored on our servers or shared, and you can disconnect Strava at any time.
