The Marathon des Sables (MDS Legendary) is the legendary self-sufficient stage race across the Moroccan Sahara, around 250 km in six stages over dunes, rocky plateaus and dry riverbeds, held every April since 1986 and nicknamed the toughest footrace on Earth.
