Ultra Panamá (adidas Terrex Ultra Panamá) is the flagship trail race of Panama: it starts in Boquete (Chiriquí) and runs the cloud forests and slopes of Volcán Barú, the highest peak of the country. Barú, 84 km with 5,500 m of climbing, gives UTMB Index points in the 100K category, Naguere (42 km, 2,900 m) in the 50K one and Duku (26 km, 1,800 m) in the 20K one; Nabiri (10 km) completes it. It heads the Ultra Panamá Trail Series, which also holds the Desafío Penonomé in October.

Train time on your feet: back-to-back long runs, 6+ hour days and hiking with poles.
